The shoes require specific cleaning methods depending upon the materials from which it is made. Prompt and consistent cleaning sessions provided for your Clarks shoes help your shoes remain healthy and smart. The Clarks provide certain guidelines to follow while cleaning their shoes. If your shoes are made of Nubuck and Suede leathers, the dirt and stains should be removed by a gentle brushing using soft and supple Suede brush or a rubber eraser. After the removal of the dirt, it should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with warm water and then applied the silicon spray. No polishing should be done on Nubuck leather. To clean the dirt off from Full Grain Aniline leather, wipe it gently, first with a dry cloth and then with dampened cloth. Although the outer parts can be dried naturally, the inners require hot air to dry up. Crème polishes can be used but silicon spray should be avoided. For oiled and waxed leathers, after the initial removal of dirt and natural drying, finishing touch with specific polishes can bring its beauty back. Patent leathers require a cleaning with soap water and the removal of haze with a dampened cloth. The leather, with its inbuilt quality of silicone present, will naturally return to the gloss.
